About The Position

Primarily responsible for the receiving and transferring of various Pasta products to the designated filling line, and regrinding products for use with pasta making. This role involves maintaining quality standards, operating material handling equipment, and collaborating with other team members. The position also requires learning all processing jobs, participating in team improvements, and performing maintenance-type tasks.

Requirements

  • Basic math, reading, communication, and basic computer skills.
  • Able to acquire Fork Truck, walkie/rider pallet truck operator and vertilift license.
  • Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead.
  • Lift, carry, push, routinely pull and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Hold and grip objects.
  • Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Able to do sustained activity jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Recordkeeping and documentation as required on manual, computer, and other systems, ensuring accuracy according to QCMS guidelines.
  • Maintain Kraft Quality Standards by checking the quality of pasta in bins and at the final dryer.
  • Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate and work with packaging coordinator and line operators.
  • Transport semi-finished product to the appropriate place.
  • Inventory and report accurate inventories/yield studies.
  • Ensure cleaning procedures, housekeeping, and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area.
  • Learn all processing jobs to assist in startup, production, and shutdown.
  • Work as a team player.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications.
  • Dismantle, clean, and reassemble assigned equipment according to Kraft Standards and Line Leader’s directions.
  • Demonstrate initiative with department improvements including scrap elimination, efficiency, and project goals.
  • Coordinate with processing sanitation group crew(s).
  • Perform metal detector and magnet checks.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Line Leader.
  • Maintain processing equipment by utilizing the Playbook and Oscar Board system and settings.
  • Understand and be accountable for KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, involvement in process improvements, etc.
  • Attend DDS meetings daily, 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, Clean/Inspect/Lube activities, minor maintenance, and adjustments.
  • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards.
  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance.
