About The Position

EverOn is seeking a BIM Specialist in the Atlanta, GA area to support the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) deliverables for data center projects, with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and Revit-based modeling. The role supports BIM and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes throughout assigned projects, including coordinating multidisciplinary models, performing clash detection, maintaining federated project models, and helping project teams implement the EverOn BIM Execution Plan (BEP). The position works with BIM/VDC managers, senior BIM coordinators, project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, and trade partners to improve constructability, reduce field conflicts, and support project delivery through digital construction technologies.

The BIM Specialist supports model management, trade coordination, quality control, coordination meetings, field operations, technical troubleshooting, and project documentation. The role also helps coordinate model information and resolve conflicts among piping, mechanical, structural, electrical, telecom, low-voltage, fire-protection, and other disciplines found in data center environments.

Requirements

• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD in a professional engineering or design environment.
• Hands-on experience developing and coordinating mechanical piping systems in Revit for data center environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting data center design or construction projects.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM coordination, modeling standards, and construction documentation.
• Experience supporting BIM coordination and model development for mission-critical facilities, data centers, telecommunications infrastructure, or other high-tech construction projects.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, cable-tray routing, equipment layout, and clash-detection processes associated with data center construction.
• Experience using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Revit worksharing environments.
• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an associate degree with relevant BIM experience.
• 2–5 years of BIM coordination or design experience, as stated under Experience Requirements.
• Experience using BIM software on commercial construction projects.
• Experience working with architectural and engineering models.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and coordination.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support BIM coordination efforts on assigned projects, maintain federated project models, coordinate multidisciplinary design and trade models, and assist with implementation of the BIM Execution Plan.
• Support project coordination milestones, participate in coordination meetings, and monitor model updates and revisions.
• Assist with federated BIM models, model uploads and downloads, shared coordinates, model version control, project file organization, naming conventions, cloud collaboration platforms, and model publishing.
• Perform routine clash detection using Navisworks Manage; review and categorize coordination issues, track issue resolution, verify updated model submissions, prepare clash reports, and monitor issue closure.
• Support weekly BIM meetings by preparing federated models, updating coordination reports, recording minutes, tracking action items, following up with trade partners, and publishing meeting documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and structural contractors, architects, engineers, project managers, and superintendents.
• Collect, review, and integrate trade models into the federated project model.
• Verify model completeness, file accuracy, model alignment, shared coordinates, naming conventions, level-of-development compliance, model compatibility, and areas ready for construction without clashes.
• Support field operations by publishing updated coordination models, providing model access through Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud, assisting with constructability questions and installation coordination, reviewing field markups, and assisting with as-built documentation.
• Provide technical assistance with Revit, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Revizto, BIM 360, AutoCAD, point-cloud software, and cloud collaboration platforms.
• Support project teams with model access, coordination workflows, file management, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain coordination reports, clash reports, meeting minutes, model logs, action-item registers, model-issue tracking, coordination schedules, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to coordinate model information and resolve conflicts among relevant disciplines in data center environments.
