About The Position

HGA is hiring an Electrical BIM Specialist for its Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, office. The role uses Revit and BIM modeling to support electrical design projects across sectors including healthcare, corporate, education, and infrastructure. The specialist works with project teams to deliver accurate, clear, constructible, and client-focused modeling and construction documents, and contributes to the refinement of Revit standards and best practices. Requirements

Associate degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology, with a focus on Revit and BIM modeling.
Proficiency with Revit software.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with NFPA 70 or other building codes.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Two to four years of experience modeling lighting, power, and communications systems for healthcare, commercial, science and technology, and/or educational project types.

Responsibilities

Work under the guidance of the Project Engineer to model project solutions and construction documents, focusing on accuracy, clarity, and constructability.
Produce drawings for electrical designs using Revit.
Provide information to the Project Engineer for incorporation into design documents.
Ensure drawings and designs comply with design standards.
Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
Keep the Project Manager informed about workload and deliverable status.
Help refine and upgrade Revit standards and best practices.
