Electrical BIM/VDC Specialist

Ace Electric•Valdosta, GA

About The Position

The Electrical BIM/VDC Specialist II is an intermediate-level position responsible for independently producing electrical BIM/VDC models, coordination, detailing, and project documentation for electrical construction projects. The role takes ownership of assigned electrical systems and project areas, coordination issues, installation documentation, constructability, and field support with limited supervision. The specialist may provide technical guidance to less-experienced personnel and lead BIM/VDC execution for smaller projects or defined scopes under BIM/VDC management oversight. The position reports to the BIM/VDC Manager. Ace Electric performs electrical installations across commercial, mission-critical, education, healthcare, institutional, industrial, correctional, hospitality, military, and retail markets, among others. Its services include fabrication, hard bid, design-build, negotiated contracts, and fee-based work. Ace offers access to Ace University, including apprenticeship, leadership training, and skill-building classes. The role develops and maintains electrical models and construction documents from design through construction and record-document phases; coordinates systems and constructability; supports prefabrication and field installation; maintains accurate, organized project models and documentation; and provides technical guidance and project communication within assigned scopes. Other duties may be assigned.
