About The Position

Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center is seeking a Billing Specialist to handle medical billing for the Agency. The role includes communicating with insurance companies and patients, obtaining prior authorizations, entering data, checking insurance eligibility, and maintaining patient insurance information in the current software. The specialist also posts insurance and client payments, manages denials and rejections, reads and understands 835 files, generates 1500 form claims on paper or electronically, navigates insurance websites, and performs other general billing duties within the scope of the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, and third-party insurers.
• Efficient knowledge of eligibility verification and claims processing.
• Ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of billing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Speak with insurance companies.
