About The Position

The Billing Analyst I is primarily responsible for aspects of the weekly billing process. This includes processing data, creating invoices, and auditing work, communicating with clients, understanding and using the automated billing process on a regular basis, and maintaining electronic files while acting in accordance with company values, vision and mission.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal, written, analytical and reasoning skills
  • An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field
  • Steel toed boots or the ability to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and sort data for invoice creation; run weekly reports.
  • Perform bookkeeping; create invoices and enter invoices into the billing system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter data into client-based systems.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies and billing issues for clients; understand when to seek guidance from supervisor on more complex issues.
  • Communicate to clients any changes made to invoices.
  • Research and resolve billing questions, complaints and grievances.
  • Communicate to payroll team any changes made that affect hours worked.
  • Familiarize self with billing policies and consistently apply them.
  • Process the hours reconciliation report and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Perform special projects as needed or assigned by Supervisor or Senior Management.
  • Attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary.
