Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accident and Health/Group insurance industry or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French to communicate with both anglophone and francophone clients/brokers.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of AIG’s internal and external business partners.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, especially during times of high activity and tight timelines.
Nice To Haves
- Attainment or working towards CIP/FCIP, LOMA or CEBS designation is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Responsible for underwriting full line of Accident & Health products in order to maximize profitability (e.g. quote new business opportunities & endorsements and underwrite all assigned renewals) by considering all factors related to the account.
- Determine acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
- Determine appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis.
- Prepare quotes and answer questions from brokers, policyholders or other external contacts and escalate issues to management along with proposed solutions as necessary.
- Attend meetings and present renewals/quotations to brokers and clients when required
- Negotiate with brokers to reach positive and profitable outcomes.
- Works closely with Sales to develop and maintain broker/client relationships.
