Responsibilities

  • Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate administrative staff.
  • Create and manage employee schedules, including approving time off.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
  • Order medical and office supplies.
  • Manage and update patient records, including personal and financial information.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage provider schedules.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patient data in accordance with regulations.
  • Oversee all financial operations, such as billing, coding, and payroll.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information.
  • Monitor office budgets and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure the practice complies with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain a professional and organized office environment.
  • Liaise with doctors and nurses to address office inefficiencies.
