About The Position

Riverchase Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is a full-service skin care provider offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology. The Bilingual Medical Assistant assists providers with patient visits, including consultations and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, dependable, organized, and able to multitask. The role requires compassion, effective communication, prioritization, and the ability to travel between locations. Spanish/English bilingualism is indicated by the role title.

Requirements

Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring toward patients and coworkers.
Ability to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
Ability to travel between locations.
Hands-on experience in a clinical setting; the employer will train the right candidate.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant (MA) certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license, or LPN qualification preferred.
Dermatology or surgical experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist providers in delivering quality care to patients.
Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
Provide side-by-side assistance with surgical procedures.
Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized examination rooms.
Review medical history and accurately and confidentially maintain patient records and documentation, including notes in the EMR system.
Obtain appropriate consents when necessary.
Call in prescriptions, perform patient callbacks, and handle administrative duties as needed.
Travel between locations.
