About The Position

Jane Pauley Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support patients and providers and help ensure high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish to communicate effectively with patients and coordinate care. The organization is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing integrated care to individuals and families across Indiana, regardless of income or insurance status.

Requirements

Certified (CMA) or Registered (RMA) Medical Assistant.
Fluency in English and Spanish to support patient communication and care coordination.
Graduate of an accredited ABHES or CAAHEP Medical Assistant program.
High school diploma or equivalent.
American Heart Association BLS certification.
Knowledge of standard clinical, laboratory, and medical procedures.
Computer literacy and accurate data-entry skills.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with VFC, CHIRP, and VOMS systems is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient care.
Room patients, check vital signs, and assess patient needs to communicate effectively with providers.
Assist providers with procedures and patient care as needed.
Administer injections, perform EKGs, and coordinate referrals.
Triage patient phone calls, review test results, manage pharmacy calls, and review medications.
Complete patient documentation accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Perform point-of-care lab testing, prepare specimens, and maintain compliance with CLIA standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and external partners to support patient care and outcomes.
Ensure adherence to clinical standards and requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, ADA, and VFC.
