About The Position

Avance Care is hiring a part-time Bilingual Medical Assistant to support patient care in its primary care network. The Medical Assistant works closely with providers to help deliver high-quality care and ensure patients have a positive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare experience. The role primarily supports one provider and requires flexibility and adaptability in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment. The position has 12-hour weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule. Candidates should preferably hold a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT certification and have at least one year of Medical Assistant experience. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data before the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with exams and a variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.
