About The Position
Avance Care is hiring a part-time Bilingual Medical Assistant to support providers in a busy clinical environment. The role primarily supports one provider and calls for a flexible, adaptable team player who can maintain a patient-centered focus under pressure. The Medical Assistant helps deliver a positive, efficient, and compassionate patient experience by assisting with clinical care and practice operations.
Requirements
- At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Growth mindset.
- Flexibility and resilience.
Nice To Haves
- One of the following certifications is preferred: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
- Triage patients as necessary.
- Administer vaccines and injections.
- Record patient data before the physician’s visit.
- Assist physicians with examinations and a wide variety of procedures.
- Administer medications.
- Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
- Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
- Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.
