About The Position

CBE Companies is hiring a Bilingual Government Collections Specialist for a class starting October 5, 2026. The role focuses on helping consumers resolve their accounts while meeting customer-service expectations, CBE and client standards, and applicable state and federal debt collection laws. Specialists work in a team-oriented, competitive environment and are expected to listen effectively, take a solution-driven approach, document calls accurately and completely, and provide excellent customer service. The position is based in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in a call center or remote work environment. Specialists handle approximately 100–150 inbound and outbound calls per day, use a call flow to guide conversations, and receive three weeks of paid training. The position offers an hourly wage of $20.00–$26.00 and potential commission for employees who meet productivity, schedule-adherence, and quality expectations. The stated schedule includes three shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and two shifts ending at 8:00 p.m. Relocation expenses are not covered. Background checks and drug testing are required.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship or three years of legal residence.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to consumers and third parties on inbound and outbound calls.
Work with consumers to find solutions and resolve their accounts.
Handle approximately 100–150 calls per day.
Use the call flow to guide calls.
Locate consumer contact information.
Implement client-required changes positively and efficiently.
Review statistics provided by management to ensure job requirements are being met.
