About The Position

Forge Christian High School is seeking a qualified and passionate Bible Teacher to join their team. The school's mission is to inspire and equip students to know their God-given purpose and spiritual shape, enabling them to passionately and courageously share Jesus with the world. The Bible Teacher will play a crucial role in developing students' biblical worldview while fostering excellence in education. This position is part of the Teaching and Learning Team, which aims to advance academic excellence and Christ-centered instructional practice through faculty development, instructional effectiveness, biblical worldview integration, and continuous growth. The teacher's purpose is to meet the educational needs of students, promote excellence, and develop a Biblical worldview, integrating key instructional strategies and administrative tasks professionally. The role involves encouraging and fostering the spiritual and educational well-being of all students.

Requirements

  • Passionate and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrates servant leadership and a Christ-centered lifestyle
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Current ACSI certification or state teaching license required (or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrates competency in Bible instruction, theology, apologetics, and spiritual formation
  • Excellent relational skills with people of all ages
  • Aligned with and able to clearly support the school’s mission, vision, and goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and academic information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Divinity, Education, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of Bible teaching or classroom teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Live out a daily, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating grace, truth, and spiritual maturity.
  • Discern and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in instruction, relationships, and decision-making.
  • Integrate Scripture, biblical truths, and practical application into all subject areas, ensuring meaningful biblical illumination in instructional units.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for assigned courses, equipping students for academic and spiritual growth.
  • Engage in ongoing curriculum development in collaboration with school leadership and fellow educators.
  • Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans, classroom materials, and homework assignments in FACTS by the designated deadline.
  • Prepare and submit a course description, syllabus, and a current curriculum map aligned with Curriculum Trak standards.
  • Update Expected Student Outcomes at the conclusion of each semester.
  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies (e.g., Teach Like a Champion, The First Days of School) for multi-sensory learning, small group instruction, cooperative learning, and Socratic methods.
  • Leverage technology thoughtfully as a supplemental tool to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Employ formative and summative assessments to monitor and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Interpret and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
  • Apply appropriate intervention strategies for students in need, maintaining detailed anecdotal records.
  • Submit attendance and grades punctually.
  • Submit book and material orders for the following school year in collaboration with department heads.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, and excellence in time management, problem-solving, communication, team building, creativity, and decision-making.
  • Participate in the school’s continuous improvement efforts, including the accreditation process.
  • Attend all required faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Instruct students during routine drills and live situations (Fire, Intruder, etc.).
  • Take attendance each class period.
