About The Position

Forge Christian High School is seeking qualified, passionate followers of Jesus to join their team as Bible Teachers. The school is committed to inspiring and equipping students to know their God-given purpose and spiritual shape, fostering a biblical worldview, and providing excellence in education. The Teaching and Learning Team focuses on academic excellence and Christ-centered instructional practice, while teachers are expected to meet the educational needs of all students, promoting excellence and developing a Biblical worldview. Teachers will integrate biblical truths into all subject areas, develop comprehensive curriculum plans, and utilize research-based instructional strategies. They will also engage in continuous improvement, attend professional development, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Requirements

  • Passionate and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrates servant leadership and a Christ-centered lifestyle
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Current ACSI certification or state teaching license required (or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrates competency in Bible instruction, theology, apologetics, and spiritual formation
  • Excellent relational skills with people of all ages
  • Aligned with and able to clearly support the school’s mission, vision, and goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and academic information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates a proactive, service-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role
  • Communicate and demonstrate an attitude that is Friendly, Fast, Fluid, and Flexible.
  • Be present for all Staff Meetings pertinent to your role, unless sick or on vacation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Divinity, Education, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of Bible teaching or classroom teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Live out a daily, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating grace, truth, and spiritual maturity in all areas of life and work.
  • Discern and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout the school day, seeking His direction in instruction, relationships, and decision-making.
  • Integrate Scripture, biblical truths, and practical application into all subject areas, ensuring that the majority of instructional units include meaningful biblical illumination.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for assigned courses, equipping students for academic and spiritual growth.
  • Engage in ongoing curriculum development in collaboration with school leadership and fellow educators.
  • Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans, classroom materials, and homework assignments.
  • Prepare and submit a course description, syllabus, and a current curriculum map aligned with Curriculum Trak standards.
  • Prepare and submit Expected Student Outcomes updated at the conclusion of each semester.
  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies to support multi-sensory learning, small group instruction, cooperative learning, and Socratic methods.
  • Leverage technology thoughtfully as a supplemental tool to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Employ both formative and summative assessments to monitor and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
  • Interpret and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and interventions.
  • Apply appropriate intervention strategies for students in need, maintaining detailed anecdotal records and implementing targeted support methods.
  • Submit attendance and grades punctually, in alignment with campus policy.
  • Submit book and material orders for the following school year in collaboration with department heads.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, resourcefulness, and excellence in time management, problem solving, communication, team building, creativity, and decision-making.
  • Participate in the school’s continuous improvement efforts, including the accreditation process.
  • Attend all required faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and fellow staff members to build strong, Christ-centered relationships.
  • Instruct students during routine drills and live situations: Fire, Intruder, etc.
  • Take attendance each class period.
