About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring full-time BHT Client Drivers for its outpatient treatment facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role provides operational support to medical and clinical teams and helps create a safe, welcoming recovery environment for clients. It includes transporting clients to admissions, discharges, and appointments, supporting clients during transport, and maintaining the vehicle. The position also involves monitoring clients, documenting and escalating incidents, and completing administrative and logistical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to support the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
• Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as needed.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Provide peer-level support to clients during transportation and assist with luggage.
• Keep the vehicle well-maintained, fueled, and ready for use.
