About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a BHT Client Driver for an outpatient treatment facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role provides operational support to medical and clinical teams and helps create a safe, welcoming recovery environment for clients. It includes monitoring transportation schedules, driving clients to admissions, discharges, and appointments, and assisting clients during transport. The position also involves administrative duties, timely documentation and escalation of incidents, and maintaining the facility vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phone coverage.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to foster a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
• Monitor transportation schedules and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as needed.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as needed.
• Provide peer support during transport and assist clients with luggage.
• Keep the vehicle well-maintained, fueled, and ready for use.
