About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a BHT Client Driver for its outpatient treatment facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams and helps create a safe, warm, and accepting recovery environment. The driver transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments, while supporting clients during transport and assisting with luggage. The position also involves administrative duties, incident communication, and maintaining the vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phone support.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
• Monitor transportation schedules and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as needed.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as needed.
• Provide peer support to clients during transport and assist with luggage.
• Keep the vehicle well-maintained, fueled, and ready for use.
