About The Position
We are expanding our remote team and looking for motivated, service-focused individuals who enjoy helping people and communicating with clients. In this role, you will work with individuals and families who have requested information about available benefit programs, helping them understand their options and guiding them through the next steps. The position combines customer service, client support, and sales in a virtual environment. Training and ongoing mentorship are provided, making this an opportunity for both experienced professionals and individuals looking to develop new skills. Our organization serves members and families connected with thousands of labor unions, associations, and professional groups throughout North America. These relationships provide access to a large and established client base, with members seeking information about supplemental and permanent benefit options. Rather than traditional door-to-door prospecting, representatives focus on communicating with clients, conducting virtual appointments, providing benefit information, and maintaining long-term relationships through ongoing service.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organization and time-management abilities
- Comfortable using computers, email, and video conferencing
- Self-motivated and able to manage responsibilities independently
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet applicable background screening requirements
Nice To Haves
- Customer service, retail, or sales experience is an asset but not required
- Previous industry experience is not required. Training and continued support are provided to help new team members learn the systems, responsibilities, and skills needed for the position.
Responsibilities
- Connect with prospective and existing clients by phone and video
- Schedule and conduct virtual appointments
- Review benefit requests and learn about each client's individual needs
- Present available benefit and coverage options in a clear, professional manner
- Answer questions and assist clients throughout the enrollment process
- Complete applications, documentation, and other required paperwork
- Maintain accurate and organized client records
- Follow up with clients and provide ongoing customer support
- Participate in virtual training, coaching, and professional development
- Develop communication, leadership, and client-management skills
