About The Position

The Benefits Representative 1, within Human Resources, is responsible for delivering exceptional service and counseling to MIT faculty, staff, retirees, beneficiaries, and vested terminated employees/retirees. This role also provides administrative support for plan administration. Key responsibilities include answering participant inquiries, providing plan enrollment counseling, processing transactions, problem-solving, and advocating for faculty, staff, and retirees. The representative will analyze requests against relevant benefit plan provisions and enter complex benefit transactions into various vendor and MIT systems and databases.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• A minimum of three years of related experience.
