Raba Kistner is seeking an energetic Benefits/Payroll Coordinator to join our Payroll & Benefit’s team in the greater San Antonio, TX area. The Benefits/Payroll Coordinator is primarily responsible for administering activities relating to the company benefits and payroll, processing including implementing and monitoring data controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited four year university or college
  • One (1) to three (3) years of benefits and/or payroll coordination experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills is required.

Nice To Haves

  • CEBS, CPP and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Experience using Payroll and/or HRIS software or CEBS, CPP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all employee benefits programs including enrollments, benefits-related events, etc.
  • Serve as a first line contact for all benefits questions.
  • Present benefits and payroll information to employees via group meetings, New Employee Orientation, workshops, and/or individual consultations.
  • Support annual open enrollment process within the company.
  • Review, reconcile and process monthly benefits invoices, document claims data and other benefit related documents.
  • Generate ACA and compliance reports.
  • Process new hire paperwork and send correspondence documents including SPDs, ID Cards, etc.
  • Handle COBRA process within the payroll system for eligible employees and/or dependents.
  • Process written employment verification requests, wage verification for workers’ compensation claims and unemployment claims.
  • Prepare, process, review and submit certified payroll reports for prevailing wage and government funded projects to ensure compliance with federal, state and contract specific requirements.
  • Serve as a backup payroll processor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
