About The Position

Plays a critical role in ensuring employees are informed about their benefits, assisting with the enrollment processes, maintaining compliance, verifying and processing insurance billing, and supporting overall HR operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management or related field, or high school diploma and 2 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with benefits and leave concepts (medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, disability, FMLA).
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Being open to change, adjusting quickly to new situations or priorities, and finding effective ways to move forward.
  • Customer Focus: Building strong relationships with employees by understanding their needs and expectations, responding to them promptly, and providing practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with benefits manager to administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, wellness programs, and leave policies.
  • Reviews data for accurate enrollment, updates, and compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations such as HIPAA, COBRA, and the ACA.
  • Processing of monthly insurance invoices.
  • Meet with employees as needed to explain benefits options, answer questions related to plans, claims, and provide guidance.
  • Conduct new hire benefit orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining employee benefits center.
  • Utilize multiple media outlets for promotion of ongoing benefits initiatives and wellness programs.
  • Communicate with brokers, insurance providers, and other vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of benefits.
  • Coordinate with payroll as needed to manage deductions and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain detailed records of employee benefits, enrollment data, and documentation.
  • Ensure all programs comply with legal requirements and internal policies and prepare reports for management.
