About The Position

Supports the administration, analysis, and maintenance of employee benefits programs. Assists in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of benefit plans, policies, and processes by performing a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred; and 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Excel, with an emphasis on data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and support decision-making.
  • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the administration of benefit programs such as life, health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, disability insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence, employee assistance programs, and other related offerings.
  • Responds to internal HR team inquiries and assists in resolving employee benefit questions and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assists in evaluating benefit programs by collecting and analyzing data related to market competitiveness, utilization, trends, and cost.
  • Supports annual renewal and open enrollment processes, including data preparation, contribution modeling, employee communication materials, and system updates.
  • Participates in benefits implementation projects, including testing eligibility files, payroll integrations, and vendor data feeds to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Maintains benefits-related data within HRIS systems and supports accurate data transfers to vendors, carriers, auditors, and consultants.
  • Maintains awareness of applicable legal requirements and supports compliance efforts, including reporting and documentation related to benefits programs.
  • Assists with benchmarking activities and works with external partners to gather data and support plan evaluations.
  • Supports open enrollment execution by ensuring data accuracy, assisting with audits, and helping coordinate communication and employee education materials.
  • Assists with retirement plan administration tasks, including data reconciliation and support for employee inquiries.
  • Prepares benefits materials for onboarding and employee communications to support understanding of available programs.
  • Analyzes benefits-related data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost control and program improvements.
  • Assists with compliance activities such as Form 5500 preparation, nondiscrimination testing coordination, and audit support.
  • Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization.
  • Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
  • Other projects and duties as directed by the employee's supervisor.
