About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Teams. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom pieces according to their current skillset. The role is part of a promote-from-within environment with jeweler training programs and continuous learning intended to help employees advance from beginner to artisan. The company offers competitive pay reflecting the jeweler’s skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of a 40-hour week, with varying hours that may include nights and weekends and seasonal required overtime.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler skill level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Varying hours, including some nights and weekends; seasonal overtime is required for full-time employees.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Experience or knowledge in stone setting, sizing, polishing, jewelry repair, and the listed bench-jeweler skills.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition.
• Perform jewelry repairs, including chain and clasp repair, re-tipping prongs, stone setting, ring repairs, and other repairs.
• Create stone mountings and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
• Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
• Design and create custom jewelry pieces, including CAD/CAM design work where applicable.
• Deliver a customer-first experience and meet customers’ expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
