About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Team. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom jewelry depending on their skills. The team is dedicated to providing a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of a 40-hour work week, with seasonal required overtime and varying hours that may include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.
Jeweler Certification classes are offered to develop and enhance bench skills.

Responsibilities

Repair jewelry, including chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, stone setting, minor ring repair, and other jewelry repairs.
Create stone mountings and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
Design and create custom jewelry, including CAD/CAM design work where applicable.
Restore jewelry to its original condition and deliver customer-first service for custom design and repairs.
