About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking entry-level and experienced Jewelers to join its Field Design & Service Center Teams. The Bench Jeweler uses their skills to restore jewelry, perform repairs, and, depending on their skillset, design and create custom jewelry. Team members deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. The role offers opportunities to grow through a promote-from-within environment, Jeweler training programs, and continuous learning. Pay is competitive and reflective of current jeweler skillset and experience.

Requirements

Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Be customer-service minded and maintain a high standard for quality work.
Have basic computer skills.
Be available for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
Work a 40-hour week when employed full-time, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.

Responsibilities

Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
Design and create custom jewelry as appropriate to current skillset.
Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customer expectations for jewelry design and repairs.
Perform jewelry work such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring repair, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design, and CAD/CAM design.
