About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Team. Team members restore jewelry, perform repairs, and may design and create custom jewelry depending on their skillset. The role offers training and continued learning, with opportunities to advance from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on the jeweler’s current skillset and experience. Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime and varying hours that may include nights and weekends.

Requirements

1–3 years of Bench Jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Varying hours, including some nights and weekends; seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.

Responsibilities

Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
Design and create custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry, depending on skillset.
Perform tasks such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, and minor ring and other jewelry repairs.
Perform wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design and creation, and CAD/CAM design work, as applicable to skillset.
Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds customers’ expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
