About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced Jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Team. Depending on current skills, the role involves restoring jewelry, performing repairs, and potentially designing and creating custom jewelry. Team members deliver a customer-first experience and work to exceed customers’ expectations for jewelry design and repair. Signet offers jeweler training and opportunities to develop skills and advance within a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on the jeweler’s skillset and experience.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler skill level.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
Seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.
Experience with chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design, or CAD/CAM design.

Responsibilities

Repair jewelry, including chain and clasp repairs, prong retipping, stone setting, minor ring repairs, and other jewelry repairs.
Create stone mountings and perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
Perform wax carving, fabrication, and casting.
Design and create custom jewelry pieces, including CAD/CAM design work as applicable to skillset.
Deliver a customer-first experience and meet quality standards for custom jewelry design and repairs.
