Behavioral Technician with CPI
About The Position
Cambrian Homecare, LLC is hiring a Behavioral Technician to provide one-on-one care to children or adults with developmental disabilities in their homes. The position supports clients with challenging behaviors and provides relief to family members from daily living activities. Shifts are available Friday through Monday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The hourly wage is $24.00. Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- CPI or Pro Act certification required.
- At least 6 months of experience working with behavior.
- Ability to pass a background check, Live Scan, and reference check.
- Current TB test, physical, CPR certification, and First Aid certification; these must be valid within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for people with developmental disabilities who have challenging behaviors, relieving family members from daily living activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies, including responding to physically aggressive behavior, as trained.
- Engage the client in activities they enjoy.
- Recognize and respond to behavioral patterns to anticipate and prevent behavioral triggers.
- Provide crisis intervention with the client's safety in mind.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the client and family.
