Behavioral Health Technicians- All Shifts
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its residential facility in Covington, Louisiana. The facility provides drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services. Behavioral Health Technicians support the medical and clinical teams with daily operations, engage with clients and help create a warm, accepting recovery environment, and monitor clients to promote the safety of clients and staff. They also document and escalate critical communications and incidents, and complete administrative and shift-related duties. The Covington facility provides individualized treatment in a compassionate and respectful setting. Its round-the-clock team includes doctors, nurses, psychiatric specialists, addiction counselors, Behavioral Health Technicians, and CNAs. The facility uses evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR, MAT, and Motivational Interviewing, and is spacious and wheelchair-accessible.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.

- Dignified character that models recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- CPR certification.
- For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
- Engage with clients and build rapport, helping create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
- Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
- Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
