About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Prince Frederick location. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, helps create a welcoming recovery environment, monitors clients and supports safety, escalates critical communications and incidents, and completes administrative duties. The Prince Frederick facility is a 93-bed residential center offering drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Its medical and clinical team is available around the clock, and the center aims to provide compassionate, dignified care in an atmosphere of acceptance, hope, and healing.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and CPR certification are preferred.
- If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
- A warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
- A dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phone coverage.
- Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
- Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
- Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
- Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
