About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Prince Frederick location. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engages with clients to foster a welcoming recovery environment, monitors clients and supports safety, escalates important communications and incidents, and completes administrative duties. The Prince Frederick facility is a 93-bed residential center offering drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and escalate critical communications and incidents in a timely manner.
• Complete administrative duties such as shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
