Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) - All Shifts
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its Prince Frederick residential facility. The role provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including assistance with admissions, transportation, meals, medication, client supervision, and phones. Technicians engage with clients and build rapport to help create a warm, accepting recovery environment; monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to support the safety of clients and staff; record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents; and complete administrative duties such as shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support. The workplace is Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick, a 93-bed residential facility providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. It is described as newly remodeled, with medical and clinical teams available around the clock and an atmosphere focused on acceptance, hope, and healing.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
- Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
- Dignified character that models recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
Responsibilities
