About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts at its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. The role supports daily residential operations, client engagement, and a positive recovery environment while helping ensure clients and staff follow Avenues’ policies and procedures. Technicians also train and support the BHT team and escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• For candidates in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
