About The Position

Behavioral Health Technicians provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams at Avenues Recovery Center at Louisiana, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation and withdrawal management facility. They engage with clients and build rapport, helping create a warm and accepting recovery environment. Technicians monitor clients and enforce facility policies to support the safety of clients and staff, promptly record and escalate critical communications and incidents, and complete administrative duties such as shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.

The Louisiana center provides round-the-clock care in a homelike residential setting. Technicians contribute to an atmosphere that supports openness and healing and are invested in each client’s success.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to medical and clinical teams, including support related to admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to help ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and escalate critical communications and incidents in a timely manner.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
