About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for the third shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., at its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role supports daily residential operations and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. Technicians train and support the BHT team, oversee client engagement and morale, and ensure that clients and staff follow Avenues’ rules, policies, and procedures. Concerns or crises are escalated to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
