About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor for the evening shift at its Prince Frederick facility. The supervisor provides day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engages with clients to foster a welcoming recovery environment, monitors clients and enforces policies to protect clients and staff, and records and escalates critical communications or incidents. The role also handles shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support, while overseeing, training, and supporting the BHTs on the shift.

The position is based at Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick, a 93-bed residential facility providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The center describes its care environment as accepting, hopeful, and focused on healing.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, including admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones.
• Engage with clients and build rapport to create a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce Avenues policies to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
• Record and promptly escalate critical communications and incidents.
• Complete administrative duties, including shift documentation, inventory, meetings, and office support.
• Oversee BHTs on the shift and provide training and support.
