About The Position
Masonicare Health Center is hiring a Behavioral Health CNA for its 50-bed Behavioral Health/Acute Psych Unit in Wallingford, Connecticut. The CNA performs basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. The position follows treatment plans designed to meet each resident’s or patient’s age, needs, and abilities, and is scheduled for 32 hours per week on the evening shift.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut certification as a nurse’s aide (C.N.A.).
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing care procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Follow treatment plans designed to meet each resident’s or patient’s age, needs, and abilities.
- Assist with meals and nourishments.
- Transfer residents or patients using proper body mechanics and appropriate assistive devices.
- Assist with ambulation, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
