This position is a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides crisis assessment and referrals for individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care to persons with behavioral health challenges in an office setting. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision. Requirements

  • Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided
  • Valid drivers license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • For certain behavioral health services additional requirements may apply.
  • Prefer one year of nursing experience.
  • Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
  • Some college training and/or management experience helpful

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing your skills and expertise, current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and responding to crises on a timely basis.
  • Following the supports and services as indicated in the recipients Crisis Plan, which is a component of all person centered plans
  • Participating as member of interdisciplinary team
  • Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies
  • Monitoring consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications
  • Assisting team members with assessing learning needs of the consumers and carries out teaching as indicated
