Thompson, founded in 1886, is an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. The Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health will provide medical oversight, care, education, and guidance to the youth in their care. Performance will be measured by individual outcomes, achieving individual targets/goals, contribution to the overall program team/department, and buy-in to the culture of the organization. A typical day involves medication administration oversight, medical file record keeping, responding to client medical needs, and working directly with the psychiatrist to provide professional nursing care. This position is on an as-needed basis, requiring a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
