About The Position

The Edinburg Center is seeking a Behavior Therapist FT or FFS in Woburn, MA. This role involves conducting functional behavior assessments and learning needs assessments, designing positive behavior support and skill acquisition plans, and implementing and monitoring individualized behavioral plans. The therapist will also train parents, caregivers, and BA level staff on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and collaborate with youth team members. The Edinburg Center is a dedicated team of professionals with a forty-year history of serving individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, brain injury, and autism in the community.

Requirements

Master’s degree
Experience conducting functional behavior assessments
Experience in goal development and design of positive behavior support plans
Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or autism
Highly organized
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

Experience with the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS or other related assessments preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct functional behavior assessments and learning needs assessments in family homes
Design positive behavior support and skill acquisition plans with individualized behavioral goals
Implement, model and monitor progress of individualized behavioral plans based on data analysis
Train parents, caregivers and BA level staff who implement plans with children and families on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Collaborate with youth team members
