About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated, entry-level and experienced Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians to assist children with autism in developing communication, social interaction, self-care, academic, and other life skills. The role involves collaborating with families to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans and providing services in natural environments. The position is part-time, with 12–20 hours per week, and seeks bilingual Spanish speakers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine love for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
• Tablet or laptop computer for use during sessions; a smartphone alone is not sufficient.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual Spanish speaker.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, if already obtained.
• Prior experience with children.
• Interest in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Observe, record, and report daily on client progress, condition, and behavior.
• Manage challenging behaviors and consistently apply behavioral principles in interactions with clients.
• Assist clients, as needed, in acquiring academic and appropriate life skills.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavior analysts and consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team.
• Complete daily paperwork and data collection notes accurately, consistently, and on time through the online database.
• Participate in continuous training programs to increase skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
