About The Position

Encompass Therapy Center is hiring an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Behavior Technician to provide one-to-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a center or home-based setting. The technician implements Behavior Intervention Plans to decrease problem behaviors and skill acquisition goals to increase socially appropriate behaviors, as designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a part-time, in-person position providing services in West Branch, Michigan, for 20–30 hours per week.

Requirements

Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or sociology.
Compassionate and caring demeanor.
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provide quality one-to-one ABA services to children with ASD, focusing on communication, social, play, and adaptive skills.
Record objective daily data reflecting client progress toward goals.
Maintain objective daily session notes.
Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Create a fun, interactive, and engaging environment for clients.
Be able to lift 30–40 pounds, run, and keep up with clients depending on their needs.
