Behavior Interventionist
About The Position
Easterseals Southern California is hiring Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum and their families. The role offers ongoing training and clearly defined career paths for people interested in psychology, behavioral health, autism services, or working with children. Candidates must be available for at least 15 hours per week during the organization’s working hours of Monday through Friday, 3 PM–8 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM–1 PM. Initial training is scheduled for two weeks, Monday through Friday, for approximately 35 hours per week.
Requirements
- Passion for working with children.
- Previous experience working with children or people with special needs, and an interest in behavioral health.
- Availability to work afternoons or early evenings, with possible weekend morning hours, and at least 15 hours per week within the stated schedule.
- Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
- Proof of immunization records and TB testing.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability for the initial two-week training schedule, Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours per week.
- Ability to lift, carry, and load or unload materials, and to walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and twist.
Responsibilities
