About The Position

Easterseals Southern California is hiring Behavior Interventionists to provide in-home, ABA-based therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum and their families. The role offers ongoing training and clearly defined career paths, and may suit people interested in psychology, behavioral health, autism services, or working with children. Candidates must be available to work at least 15 hours per week during the main work hours of Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. An initial two-week training schedule runs Monday through Friday for about 35 hours. Starting pay is $24–$27.50 per hour. The position involves home visits and requires lifting, carrying, and loading or unloading toys and materials. It also involves frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe, assess, and interact with participants.

Requirements

Passion for working with children.
Previous experience working with children or people with special needs, and an interest in behavioral health.
Availability to work at least 15 hours per week during the stated work-hour windows: Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Availability for the initial two-week training schedule, Monday through Friday, for about 35 hours.
Own reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
Proof of immunization records and TB.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift and carry toys and materials and frequently walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and twist.

Responsibilities
