About The Position

Hourly assistant to the Team Lead in the Beer, Wine and Liquor Department. The role supports department operations and customer service, including consumer education and suggestive selling. The employee must comply with all State regulations regarding the sale of Spirituous Liquor. Availability to be scheduled 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, is required based on department needs.

Requirements

• Must be available to be scheduled 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Organizational ability.
• Reliability and dependability.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the Beer and Wine department.
• Extensive knowledge of beers and craft beers, liquor, and wine.

Responsibilities

• Order, stock, price, rotate, and merchandise department products.
• Maintain records and manage inventory, including backstock control.
• Maintain scanners and perform housekeeping duties.
• Assist customers on the sales floor, including providing consumer education and using suggestive selling.
• Comply with State regulations regarding the sale of Spirituous Liquor.
• Perform related activities as required or assigned.
