About The Position

Hourly assistant to the Team Lead working in the Beer, Wine and Liquor Department. The role supports department operations, including ordering, stocking, pricing, rotation, merchandising, record keeping, inventory and backstock control, scanner maintenance, housekeeping, and customer relations on the sales floor. The assistant is expected to demonstrate proficient suggestive-selling skills and comply with all State regulations regarding the sale of Spirituous Liquor. Secondary duties include related activities as required or assigned, with an emphasis on consumer education and suggestive selling.

Requirements

• Availability to be scheduled 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Customer-service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Organizational ability, reliability, and dependability.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 80 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Beer and Wine department.
• Extensive knowledge of beers and craft beers.
• Knowledge of liquor and wine.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Lead in the Beer, Wine and Liquor Department.
