About The Position

The Beer & Wine Lead is an hourly lead position working in the Beer & Wine Section. The role is responsible for the section’s day-to-day operations, including ordering, stocking, pricing, rotation, merchandising, record keeping, backstock control, scanner maintenance, housekeeping, and customer relations on the sales floor. The lead is expected to demonstrate proficient suggestive-selling skills. Other related duties may be assigned, with an emphasis on consumer education and suggestive selling.

The position must be available to be scheduled for 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs. Physical demands include repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Order, stock, price, rotate, and merchandise Beer & Wine products.
• Maintain records and control backstock inventory.
• Maintain scanners and perform housekeeping duties in the section.
• Serve customers on the sales floor and use suggestive selling.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned, emphasizing consumer education and suggestive selling.
