About The Position

The Beauty Team Leader leads the beauty team to drive sales and department initiatives, drawing on a passion for beauty and a consultative approach to understanding client needs. The role maintains expert knowledge of leading beauty brands, executes merchandise sets, supports replenishment and visual standards, and guides the team in meeting Sephora at Kohl’s standards to deliver an excellent client experience. The Team Leader partners with the Store Manager, coaches and recognizes team members, supports sales plans and training, and serves as a contact for the Store Manager, Sephora Training Team, and other partners. The role also oversees department visual merchandising and operational standards, replenishment, omni-processing, and inventory activities. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, bending, reaching, and standing or walking for a scheduled shift of at least eight hours. The listed pay range is $20.00–$30.00.

Requirements

Five years of client-facing retail or service-industry experience.
Authentic passion for beauty.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence clearly and concisely.
Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform basic math and reading, write legibly, and operate a computer.
Ability to operate and communicate using multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift, at least eight hours.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards and perform the listed accountabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the Beauty Team to deliver a positive and compelling client experience.
Partner with the Store Manager to provide leadership for the Beauty Team.
Build a strong team culture through recognition, feedback, and coaching.
Serve as a point of contact for the Store Manager, Sephora Training Team, and other partners.
Drive sales performance, execute sales plans, and hold the team accountable for meeting goals.
Build client loyalty by identifying client needs, recommending products, and upselling where appropriate.
Demonstrate product knowledge and beauty trends, including product application, to inspire clients.
Complete required training and ensure team members complete required training on schedule.
Work with the Store Manager and Sephora partners to identify and address Beauty Advisor training needs.
Execute Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards, including merchandise sets, tester maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene.
Ensure timely and consistent sales-floor replenishment.
Support omni-processing within the department.
Support inventory management, including freight processing, back stocking, inventory counts, and price changes.
Act with integrity and honesty, foster teamwork and inclusion, and use sound judgment when making decisions.
Support safety and shortage-reduction programs and follow company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Complete multiple tasks within established timeframes and respond to direction from leaders and other company personnel.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet company scheduling requirements.
Comply with dress code, health, and safety requirements and complete company training programs.
