About The Position

As a member of Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, you will create personalized beauty experiences, engage customers to understand their needs, and maximize sales for on-trend and luxury beauty brands. The role includes providing beauty recommendations and services, building customer relationships in-store and digitally, and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive team environment. The position is seasonal and is based at Oak Park Mall.

Requirements

• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare applications.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers.
• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness so it is customer-ready.
• Keep current with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through Nordstrom and brand partner trainings.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
